Troy

Prince Paris of Troy, in 1193 B.C., falls in love with Helen, the Queen of Sparta and takes her with him to Troy. The King of Sparta, Menelaus, seeks assistance from his brother Agamemnon to avenge this misdeed. The greatest strength of Agamemnon is the legendary Achilles (Brad Pitt) who fights his way through even the greatest Hero of the Troy, Hector, eldest son of King Priam. However, the greatest hurdle to the Greeks is to break the wall of Troy.

This movie depicts the legendary "Trojan Horse" incident where they break they wall of Troy by hiding a small army inside a huge wooden horse and gifting the horse to Troy. The horse is taken inside the walls of Troy, when the army furtively sets the city on fire.

Achilles dies when an arrow shot by Paris strikes his heel. The term "Achilles heel" arises from the fact that Achilles was vulnerable nowhere, but his heel. This is because his mother, Thetis - a sea nymph, held him at his heel when she dipped him in the River Styx to make him invulnerable.

A brilliant adaptation of Homer's great epic "The Illiad"...
