The Mask of Zorro

A brilliant adventure movie!

Antonio Banderas, as Alejandro, moves from a Zorro fan to become the Zorro under the guidance of Don Diega de la Vega, the earlier Zorro (Anthony Hopkins), to avenge his brother's death, where as, de la Vega avenges his wife's death and the seizure of his daughter.. With glimmering appearence by the ever-charming Catherine Zeta-Jones taking the role of Elena Montero, de la Vega's daughter, this movie is a "not-to- be-forgotten" one.

The Day After Tomorrow

"Impeccable Special Effects", I must say... Brilliant intertwining of drama, thrill , emotion and scientific facts... I am totally surprised to know that the movie didnt receive a good response...

To me, the scene where water gushes to the city of New York gave me a feel of what would have happened in the disaster caused by tsunami in South Asia.

I wish the movie doesnt come true... Time to protect our climate!

Tomb Raider (II)- Cradle of Life

One more amazing one from the Lara Croft family... Angeline rocks!! This time, the quest is on to find "Pandora's box" that, if opened, is supposed to unravel a disease which could kill millions... A brilliant movie, with amazing gun-fights , "hi-tech" devices, Lara-jumps and... as always... the amazing Croft pony tail... Too good for a sequel...

Reservoir Dogs

A yucky movie!!!! Dont ever see it pls.. My buddies told me "Aankhein" is remade from it.. I rated "Aankhein" as an OK movie and expected the original version to be a better one... But man! This one sucked big time.. and, it used the "f" word, atleast once in every dialogue

Troy

Prince Paris of Troy, in 1193 B.C., falls in love with Helen, the Queen of Sparta and takes her with him to Troy. The King of Sparta, Menelaus, seeks assistance from his brother Agamemnon to avenge this misdeed. The greatest strength of Agamemnon is the legendary Achilles (Brad Pitt) who fights his way through even the greatest Hero of the Troy, Hector, eldest son of King Priam. However, the greatest hurdle to the Greeks is to break the wall of Troy.

This movie depicts the legendary "Trojan Horse" incident where they break they wall of Troy by hiding a small army inside a huge wooden horse and gifting the horse to Troy. The horse is taken inside the walls of Troy, when the army furtively sets the city on fire.

Achilles dies when an arrow shot by Paris strikes his heel. The term "Achilles heel" arises from the fact that Achilles was vulnerable nowhere, but his heel. This is because his mother, Thetis - a sea nymph, held him at his heel when she dipped him in the River Styx to make him invulnerable.

A brilliant adaptation of Homer's great epic "The Illiad"...
